Dose Measurement & Control

Specify the actual dose (cGy) to be delivered at a known distance and automatically stop exposure when the dose has been reached

Measurement of relative dose via parallel plate transmission chamber allows measurement of both dose rate and cumulative dose for filtered and unfiltered beams.

Dose Measurement + Control is set through the TouchRAD operator interface.

Available for all X-Rad models

Motorised Rotating Shelf

Quickly set up the source to shelf distance (SSD)

Key operated specimen/sample shelf allows the user to quickly set up the source to shelf distance (SSD) and clearly displays distance with an built-in SSD indicator.

The rotating shelf is 50 cm in diameter and features beam coverage indicators for select SSD’s. Shelf rotation is operator adjustable from 0 to 8rpm and has a weight capacity of 50lbs.

Programmable Motorised Rotating Shelf

Program SSD through the TouchRAD operator interface

The programmable specimen/sample shelf is similar in configuration to the key operated motorised shelf, but has the additional feature of being able to type in the distance and add it to an automatic program through the TouchRAD interface.

Automatic Programs can be achieved with the combination of a Programmable Shelf and Dose Measurement & Control to use the TouchRad operator console for simple setup and delivery.

Available for all X-Rad models

Planetary Turntable

Triple the number of small animals for irradiation when performing whole body irradiation

Designed for use with either the motorised or programmable shelf, the planetary turntable is capable of holding and rotating three pie cages, holding eleven (11) mice in each for a total of thirty-three (33) mice.

Available for X-Rad - 320, 225XL, 160XL

Specimen/Sample Turntable

For systems without a motorised or programmable shelf

A stand-alone turntable is available with a sturdy 12” (30cm) platter that rotates up to 2rpm.

Available for all X-Rad models

Variable Collimator

Quickly define a rectangular or square exposure field

Adjustable collimators feature motorised four leaf beam blockers in the X and Y directions that allow the user to define a rectangular or square exposure field from 0.5 x 0.5cm to 20 x 20cm at a source to shelf distance (SSD) of 50cm, and larger as the SSD is increased.

Available for all X-Rad models

Precision Beam Collimators

Calibrated at 50cm source to specimen shelf distance to give a circular beam coverage

Collimators range from 1cm to 15cm beam coverage.

Available for all X-Rad models

Beam Conditioning Filters

Beam conditioning filters aid in altering the kV spectra to best suit cell irradiation, whole body irradiation and/or targeted irradiation

F1 Filter, 2mm AL – Standard with all X-Rad models

F2 Filter, 1.5mm AL, 0.25mm Cu, 0.75mm Sn – Standard with all X-Rad 320 models

F3 Filter, 0.3mm Cu – Standard with all X-Rad 225 and 160 models

Available for all X-Rad models

Laser Centre Finder

To assist researcher set up in finding the exact centre of the irradiation field

Available for all X-Rad models

External Dosimeter

Perform dose calibration with this multifunctional set

It allows users to get internal dose readings via water. This set includes a Water tank, PTW Unidos E and Farmer Chamber with mandatory lab calibration included. Together, the products in this set provide easy calibration of the internal dosimetry system.

Available for all X-Rad models

Environmental Chamber

ECX 1000 is designed to be used with the X-Rad irradiator when it is required to introduce and control gases in an environmental chamber

Features include: Oxygen controller & sensor; Pressure relief valve; Two sensor ports; Circulation fan; Gas inlet; Pullout sliding shelves; Humidification tray and Temperature ( heating) control.

As an additional option to the ECX 1000, a CO2 controller and sensor can be added to the system.

This can be helpful when using cell cultures to control temperature and hypoxic environments.
